CENIT intends the acquisition of French Software-Specialist Keonys

For more than 25 years CENIT AG has been one of the leading IT- and Software-Specialists for PLM based engineering. In light of the strategic direction of “CENIT 2020” as well as in the context of Industrie 4.0, the intention to acquire Keonys is a consequential step forward: Keonys is an established partner of Dassault Systèmes and one of the leading European providers for PLM and 3D-Design integration. The acquisition of the company will enlarge and shape CENIT´s solution portfolio around the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. As a further result, the IT specialist will become the largest international value added reseller of Dassault Systèmes. In 2016, Keonys is expected to generate sales of approximately 56 million euros. The company employs around 160 members of staff.

„The merger of our companies will lead to a new common power: the integration of excellent know-how will secure our competitiveness and strengthen our international presence. The established regional market position of Keonys will also allow us to access further customer segments in France and BENELUX”, says Kurt Bengel, CEO of CENIT AG. “Given the synergies of our joint solutions- and process know-how, we will be able to support our customers along the entire digital value chain in an even more advanced way”, Bengel continues.

In addition to the strategic positions, both companies have a mutual understanding of their common future: “Keonys and CENIT are known for a comparable objective with regards to the vision, quality as well as fundamental company ethics. For us, these are substantial aspects for a common future”, Isabelle Yung-Lafargue, President of Keonys S.A.S., confirms the acquisition intention. "CENIT and Keonys are an ideal fit regarding their international presence. This fact will serve us to support our customers in global PLM projects even better," she adds.

The acquisition of Keonys through CENIT is currently in its last verification phase and given to French law, subject to a hearing of labor representatives. Under reservation of the results, both companies are expecting the execution of the acquisition in March 2017.
