At the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Stuttgart, you will obtain extensive knowledge from the entire area of computer sciences which you can then implement in real customer projects within our company. Upon completing this program, you will be awarded the academic degree Bachelor of Science.
The dual course of studies in computer sciences combines the theoretical foundations of a degree course in computer sciences with the practical working environment. Alternating between college courses and practical work, you will receive IT know-how, soft skills as well as business foundations. As an upcoming computer scientist, you will learn to complete tasks in the area of information and communication technology. This also involves the analysis and development of hardware and software components as well as the modification of existing components in line with specific requirements.
The themes that will be dealt with during the practical phases involves tasks such as the creation of a software concept or practical programming tasks. During your practical phases, you will be involved in ongoing customer projects and can apply your theoretical knowledge in practice within the framework of exciting and challenging tasks.

The dual degree program for applied computer sciences extends over a period of three years, alternating every three months between the university and the company. During the theoretical phases, you will attend courses and lectures at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), each block lasting a period of three months. Here you, along with your fellow students from other companies, acquire extensive knowledge from the broad field of computer sciences. The main elements of the degree program are:
During the practical phases, you will work either at the company or onsite at one of our customers. Your training at CENIT will also be supplemented by internal soft-skill training programs, programming training and business-related training.
The dual study program for applied computer sciences is available at our headquarters in Stuttgart as well as at our subsidiary in Ratingen. The theoretical phases in both cases will take place at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW).
For the dual study program for applied computer sciences you should have an affinity to and a fundamental understanding and interest in the field of computer sciences. Plus, interdisciplinary and logical reasoning, technical understanding and creativity should be among you personal strengths. Some fundamental knowledge of computer sciences is also beneficial. Are you also communicative, able to work in a team and willing to learn? Then you are the one we are looking for!
An advanced technical college entrance qualification (equivalent to the German diplomas Allgemeine Hochschulreife or Allgemeine Fachhochschulreife) is the prerequisite for a dual course in Applied Computer Science. Your minimum grade should be a B or an equivalent. You should definitely have good grades in the subjects German, Math, English and Science.
If you have the German "Allgemeine Fachhochschulreife" you must also pass the general scholastic aptitude test in line with the admission requirements of the DHBW.
