Automatization and Production Technology: Efficient Production with digital workflows

The high product complexity, the short development cycles and the growing sustainability requirements demand a new approach to product lifecycle management. Through consistent data management along the entire production chain, the technological premises are built to simplify and make the production processes efficient.

CENIT supports you with integrated automatization tools and simulation to automate repetitive and time-consuming processes. This way, not only will you grow the efficiency of the processes but also their quality, opening new potential for value creation.

Digital Twin: The key for sustainable product creation

Modeling and simulation processes (shortly MODSIM) are a universal instrument for the creation of sustainable products and stay on the technological basis of the digital twin. With this virtual image of the products, real processes and facilities, companies can analyze and optimize the design, function, material behavior, and manufacturability—even in the early stages of development. This enables well-founded decisions based on consistent data and realistic simulations before a physical product is ever created.

A crucial aspect here is the end-to-end concept: with a continuous digital model that extends from concept to virtual commissioning, risks are minimized, development times are shortened, and the need for physical testing is reduced. This saves resources, lowers costs, and creates room for innovation.

Digital Twin makes the increasing complexity of sophisticated industrial products manageable. It helps clarify issues related to subsystems and the overall system, provides a solid foundation for technical and management decisions, and fosters cross-department collaboration. In this way, designers and simulation experts can purposefully validate product drafts and achieve a higher “First-Time-Right” rate.

To make this possible, a fully digital process chain is required: standardized data models, consistent simulation results, and seamless integration into PLM systems. CENIT provides these technological foundations and makes MODSIM valuable for everyone involved within the company.

  • Better decisions through early validation: Virtual models provide reliable data for engineering and management decisions early in the product creation process.
  • First time right: Simulation-based tests save time, costs, and resources.
  • Higher product quality and shorter time-to-market: Iterative optimization based on consistent simulation data increases the "First-Time-Right" rate.
  • Close collaboration across disciplines: Integrated processes connect development, simulation, and production.
  • Futureproofing through digital continuity: The digital twin creates a solid foundation for continuous improvement, traceability, and regulatory compliance.

CENIT provides the technological foundation: uniform data models, consistent simulations, and continuous integration into your PLM systems as a basis for automated, agile processes.

Manufacturing starts with Robots and Machines: Efficiency starts with Simulation

In modern manufacturing, the efficiency of robot programming is decisive, especially for small-batch production with high diversity. With offline programming (OLP) of robot cells, CENIT supports you in creating production-ready robot programs without interrupting ongoing manufacturing processes. Programming takes place in a virtual simulation environment on the PC (“offline”) and considers factors such as defined production quality, required cycle time, and operational safety. The program can then be transferred directly to the system and used without time-consuming teaching processes.

In addition to saving time, the solution offers further advantages: the risk of errors is reduced since process parameters and technological values are stored in the software and can be reused. This prevents data loss, redundancies, and inconsistencies. Once a 3D master concept has been created, machining areas such as weld seams and cutting contours can be derived directly from the component.

In digital simulation, scenarios can be tested in a safe and controlled environment. This allows optimization of aspects such as robot movement and coordination, fixture placement, or cycle time. All of this increases planning reliability and reduces costs caused by test runs and production interruptions. The OLP integrates seamlessly into your existing PLM and CAD/CAM system landscape and forms the basis for:

  • Early validation of production concepts

  • Reduction of ramp-up times

  • Efficient adaptation to product and process changes

As part of end-to-end MODSIM processes, OLP enables a digital workflow that enhances quality, productivity, and innovation capacity. Simulation ensures a more efficient and sustainable product creation, that reacts very quickly before new requirements ``first-time right`´ versus ``trial-and-error``.
