DIGITAL FIXTURE DESIGN
PROCESS CHAIN FIXTURE Design
Reduce time and design efforts by digitalizing your process chain in fixture design. We support you in analyzing and optimizing the process of your fixture design and point out possibilities for standardization and automation. Our long-standing experience from reference projects in the automotive- and industrial equipment industries, allows us to offer you tailor-made solutions to optimize costs, time and quality.
Let our experts show you which possibilities exist to design your process chain of fixture design more digitally.
OUR VIEW OF DIGITAL FIXTURE DESIGN
- Concept operating resources
- Functional security
- Tolerance protection
- Fixture parts list and costs
- Tool protection
Create analysis models and simulate and optimize variations
Semiautomatic and knowledge-based creation of concept devices (e.g. CENIT WBK in CATIA)
Geometric and logical verification of design features such as fasteners or fixtures in 3D (e.g. CENIT Joint Checker in NX)
Automatic accessibility and collision check for complex assemblies on calculation server (e.g. CENIT Pliers protection in DELMIA)
Programming and documentation of fixture loading sequences for use in subsequent processes (e.g. CENIT FASTSUITE Edition 2)
Creation and documentation of clamping and fixing points on components and superstructures (e.g. CENIT SFK in NX)
Challenge: Processes for the creation of a clamping and fixing concept, as well as the integration into different CAD systems
Solution: Analysis of the clamping points in the assembly structure and creation of the interface to knowledge-based fixture design
Benefit: The created integration into the CAD system allows a user-friendly utilization. The information can therefore be reused in subsequent processes.
Challenge: Dynamic definition of tensioner assemblies and adjustment of parameters of a tensioner or fixing pin variant
Solution: Support of multiple contour stone sizes per clamp; preview of the positioned clamp assembly; collision check and parameter adjustment
Benefit: Time and cost savings by automating the design of concept fixtures; cost and effort reduction through parametric standard components
Challenge: Testing of fasteners in the assembly context; adaptability of test criteria and results; integration into different CAD systems
Solution: Geometric and logical tests; adaptive or fixed test values; visualization of test results in 3D
Benefit: Early fault detection in the positioning of fasteners; traceability of test results
Challenge: Automated welding gun validation in the complete production structure of a vehicle, as well as the relocation to a calculation server to relieve the clients.
Solution: DELMIA integration; communication with a database for controlling the calculation server; server performs more than ten calculations simultaneously in 24-hour operation through job control
Benefit: Comprehensive saving of manual activities; strong relief of clients and employees through parallel calculation
