About your application

For data privacy reasons, we can only accept applications via our online portal. This is how it works:
Look at our list of vacancies for any position that interests you. You can use a variety of filter criteria, e.g. “location”. At the bottom of the vacancy description, click on the “apply” button. You now have four options for uploading your application documents. All fields with a * are mandatory fields.

Your options:

  • Complete application form manually
Fill in your personal information by hand and upload your documents.
  • Use your XING profile
This option lets you use your XING profile. Data like name or phone number (if included) are extracted automatically. You can fill in and/or edit any missing data manually and upload any additional documents.
  • Use your LinkedIn profile
This option lets you use your LinkedIn profile. Data like name or phone number (if included) are extracted automatically. You can fill in and/or edit any missing data manually and upload any additional documents.
  • Upload your CV
This is the simplest option. Just upload your CV and the required information will be filled in via CV parsing. Again, you can add or edit data manually and upload any additional documents.

Following your application, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application.  If you have questions on the application procedure and the next steps in the process, please get in touch with the contact person indicated in the vacancy announcement or use the contact form below.

To give us a first impression of who you are, we’d like you to send us your CV. Alternatively, you can apply using your XING or LinkedIn profile. In either case, please make sure the data is correct and up to date and contains detailed information on your skills and your previous activities.

A cover letter is not required, but if you like you can introduce yourself in a short video (30 seconds). Please refer to the application form for additional information. After you have sent us your application, you’ll receive an invitation to visit our online interview platform, where you can record or upload the video.

Certificates, testimonies and additional references (e.g. a list of projects) help us in assessing your application but are not absolutely required at this first stage. To speed up the assessment, information e.g. on salary expectations, earliest starting date and willingness to travel is useful to us. If and when we require additional information, we will we get in touch with you.

We prefer to receive information in the following formats: Word, PDF, jpg, gif, png. Maximum size: 10 MB per file, 20 MB total.

You’re interested in more than one vacancy? Then you don’t have to apply for each one separately. We suggest that you apply to the position that would be your first option. Then use the “comments” section in the application to list additional positions of interest to you. We keep an eye on the larger picture, and of course your application will be reviewed by all of CENIT’s specialist units.

You will receive an automated confirmation of receipt. If this should not arrive within 5 minutes after submitting your documents, please check your spam folder. If you cannot find our automatic response there either, please inform the contact person indicated in the vacancy description or use the contact form below.

Please get in touch with us by phone or use the contact form below.

From interview to onboarding

Both options are available, and we will discuss them with you when we arrange the meeting. If we are able to meet with you personally at one of our offices, please be informed that we rely on a hygiene concept which we review regularly and which we will likewise discuss with you when arranging the meeting. Our online interviews are conducted via Microsoft Teams.

We want to get to know you as a person - your experiences, your personality, and what motivates you. We are also interested in learning more about your major personal developments, projects and day-to-day activities. Questions on your hopes, expectations and ideas regarding a new position are another regular part of our job interviews. We like to see that you have informed yourself about our company and that you contribute your own questions to the interview.

For a digital job interview, you need a webcam. If you don’t have one, we’re happy to discuss alternatives when we arrange the web meeting. For our online interviews, we use Microsoft Teams. All you need to take part in a Teams meeting is a link which we will email you along with the appointment confirmation. To ensure that you can easily view any shared content (presentations, organigrams, etc.), we recommend that you participate via laptop / PC/ tablet rather than via your smartphone.

You don’t have the Teams app installed on your device? You can nevertheless take part in a Teams meeting, because you can simply log on to the discussion via your Internet browser.

  1. In your email invitation, select “click here to join meeting”.
  2. There are three ways for you to do so:
    1. Download the Windows app, i.e. the Teams desktop app.
    2. Continue in your preferred browser: join a Teams meeting on the web.
    3. Open your Teams app: if you already have the Teams app, join your Teams meeting directly.
  3. Enter your name.
  4. Select preferred audio and video settings.
  5. Click on “join now”.
  6. Usually, you will be directed to a waiting area from which your meeting partner will invite you into the meeting room.

 Via the installed app:

  1. Go to your calendar and select “join”, either before or after the meeting has started.
  2. Activate your camera and, if you like, select a background.
  3. Choose your audio settings.
  4. Click on “join now”.
  • At CENIT, there is no expected dress code. Wear what you feel comfortable in and dress as you would for a personal interview.
  • Ensure adequate lighting, a good camera angle and a quiet background.
  • If you like, you can use earphones or headphones for better sound quality.
  • In a personal interview, we would offer you coffee or a soft drink. Feel free to have something to drink during the online interview as well.
  • You are welcome to take notes during the interview - we will do the same.
  • We are fully aware that in a home office setting, interruptions like ringing doorbells, etc. cannot always be avoided.

We strive to make our recruitment process as efficient as possible, but processing times may vary by role and location. After each process step, we will give you an idea of when you can expect feedback. If you have questions, please contact your recruiter at any time.

We have digitalized our contract offering process. If you are invited to join CENIT, you will receive the offer via email rather than by post.

We look forward to welcoming all newcomers and want to make your start at CENIT as hitch-free as possible. To acquaint you with our company and help you start networking with your new colleagues, we will hold a centrally organized induction event. Your manager will take care of your introduction to your specific tasks and plan that process together with you. You will receive your equipment on location on the first day – and then you’re set to go!
