Encouraging trade fair closing for CENIT: During the international trade fairs for sheet metal processing “Blechexpo” and “Schweisstec” joining technology, the Stuttgart-based IT and software consulting company received the “Award for Blechexpo 2019” on November 6, 2019. The software FASTSUITE Edition 2 was awarded for exceling in the category of "Handling and Automation".

For the fourth time the two trade magazines Blechnet and MM MaschinenMarkt honoured the most innovative exhibits at Blechexpo with the “Award for Blechexpo”. CENIT's manufacturer-independent software won over the section "Handling and Automation" – one of five categories.

With this solution “CENIT created a platform, that replaces classic CAM and OLP systems, not only for robots, but for all machines and systems, with interdisciplinary and simpler process descriptions,” said the expert jury about its decision. “For each process, for each robot, and for each machine, the software uses one and the same universal language," the jurors went on to say.

“We are delighted about this award. It confirms that we are on the right path with FASTSUITE Edition 2 towards the complete mapping of processes for the entire area of digital manufacturing, with a comprehensive manufacturer-independent and efficient solution,” explains Leo Bartevyan, Senior Account Manager Digital Factory-Solutions at CENIT. “With our software, we combine aspects such as ease of use, high openness for any data formats and adaptability to specific technologies. We enable companies to set up their complete digital manufacturing processes as efficiently and consistently as possible,” he continues.

About FASTSUITE Edition 2

FASTSUITE Edition 2 serves as an independent 3D simulation platform. This includes, among other things, component handling, automation technology, process assurance, offline teaching, offline programming, and virtual commissioning in a uniform 3D environment.

The scalable and open solution combines the requirements of simple operability and controllability, high openness for any data formats and adaptability to specific technologies. Due to its modular design, the solution is suitable both for small companies that only want to program one robot cell and for large companies that want to map an entire digital factory in perspective.
