Whether it’s cooking or washing and drying dishes and clothes – Swiss household appliance maker V-ZUG has made a name for itself as a developer, producer and distributor of high-quality products for the premium market. In Switzerland alone, the Zug-based manufacturer has sold more than 4.5 million ovens, dishwashers, etc. V-ZUG Ltd, a mid-size company with approx. 1,600 employees, was quick to see the writing on the wall and has devoted the past several years to digitalizing its operations at all levels and along the entire value chain. An important piece of the puzzle was bidirectional integration of the platforms deployed at V-ZUG Ltd: the 3DEXPERIENCE platform by Dassault Systèmes and SAP S/4HANA.

Process and data continuity across both platforms

For V-ZUG Ltd, the significance of the – recently completed – integration project is demonstrated by the many benefits it is now reaping: “In particular, the new role- and task-based integration lets our users work very flexibly, across both platforms. This has given us an enormous boost in staff acceptance”, says Metzker. In other words: Cross-platform process control takes center stage – the process, the role and the task define the way data is retrieved and processed. This saves time and ensures process efficiency. Duplicate entries are a thing of the past, which saves costs and prevents process iterations. An additional benefit is maximum freedom in designing efficient and flexible business processes: Process templates now support applications for a wide range of uses throughout the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and SAP S/4HANA platform worlds.
